Trips Agreement Countries Signed

The TRIPS Agreement stipulates that WTO Member States must comply with the substantive obligations of the main WIPO Agreements, the Paris Agreement on Industrial Property and the Berne Agreement on Copyright (in its most recent versions). . This review is under way in the TRIPS Council. With the exception of the provisions of the Berne Convention relating to copyright property rights, all substantive provisions of these Conventions are hereby set forth by reference. They will therefore be bound by WTO Member States under the TRIPS Agreement, they will have to apply these main provisions and apply them to individuals and businesses of all other WTO Members. Developing countries, including developed countries, had to apply the provisions of the TRIPS Agreement before 1 January 2000. .
